Dr. Suparno Chakrabarti was born in Kolkata (India) in 1964. He completed his post-graduation in Internal Medicine from PGIMER, Chandigarh in 1993 and left for CMCH, Vellore to train in Haematology and BMT. Dr. Chakrabarti returned to PGIMER after a years training in CMCH Vellore and was instrumental in setting up the department of CLINICAL HAEMATOLOGY. IN 1998, he left for the UK to undertake a fellowship in BMT at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital and Bristol Childrens Hospital for 5 years.
