She has more than 17 years of experience in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology in different government and private hospitals in UAE including Latifa Hospital. During her tenure in UAE she has gained experience in dealing multilinguistic population.
She was trained in Ultrasonography in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Wadia Hospital, Mumbai. She was also trained in Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy from Mumbai and Cochin.
Dr. Suvarna has completed post graduation in Obstetrics and Gynecology (M.D) from Mumbai University in 1996 and MRCOG from Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecology London, U.K in 2004.
Cervical cautery is a procedure where abnormal cells on the neck of the womb are treated using either heat. This then encourages fragile delicate cells to grow into new and stronger cells which are less likely to cause discharge or irregular bleeding. A small biopsy is usually taken from the neck of the womb to check there are no other abnormalities before cervical cautery is performed.
