About Tricuspid valve replacement surgery

Tricuspid valve separates the right atrium from right ventricle and closes down when ventricle contract to push blood in arteries, to prevent the backflow of blood into atrium. The helps surgery helps in restoring the normal functioning of tricuspid valve. The surgical technique uses a device called an annuloplasty ring, a 3dimensional device when placed within the heart chambers narrows down the diameter of the valve. It does not cause strain on the sutures sewn around the ring to make the valve opening smaller and helps restoring its normal opening and closing.
