Surfer’s Ear Treatment in India
Surfer’s ear is usually treated with the help of surgery. The ear surgeon uses a drill to remove the bone. The ear canal may be directly assessed with the help of a binocular microscope to keep the inner ear canal skin away from the drill. Another approach followed by ear surgeons is to make an incision behind the ear and dissect it in the forward direction.

Non-surgical approach:
Haglund’s deformity without surgery will only remove bursitis. It does not help shrink the protrusion of the bone. The following non-surgical approaches can be used by the exostosis treatment doctors in India to treat Haglund’s deformity. These approaches can either be used independently or in combination.
Eradicating the problem:
The doctor may advise the patient not to use the shoes that may bruise the back of the heel.
Medications:
Medicines are given to relieve pain and inflammation. Either oral medicines such as anti-inflammatory drugs or a topical pain reliever is prescribed to the patient.
Ice:
An ice pack is applied to the affected area for 20 minutes to reduce the swelling.
Exercises:
Some stretching exercises are advised to the patient to relieve the tension in the muscles or the tendon.
Heel lifts:
Some patients are told to wear the heel lifts inside the shoes to decrease the pressure on the heel.
Physiotherapy:
The physiotherapist will suggest a set of appropriate stretching and strengthening exercises to decrease the pain and inflammation after identifying the biomechanical abnormalities. Surgical approach: To provide complete relief from pain, surgery may be advised to the patients. Surgery is usually preferred when the patient does not respond properly to the non-surgical approach. During the surgery, bony growth is removed by debriding the affected Achilles tendon and suturing it back using the bone anchors.

In most of the cases, buccal exostosis does not require treatment. The exostosis, in this case, can be traumatized. Osteochondroma and Hereditary Multiple Exostoses Treatment in India
Pain can be managed with the help of analgesics and physical therapy in patients with osteochondroma or HME. But if the exostosis is larger in size, it will result in a deformity in the bone. In worst cases, it may even compress the nerve. Under such circumstances, surgery is required to treat the condition.
Osteochondroma and HME may, however, recur in patients even after the surgery. In some rare cases, it may even give rise to cancer. Therefore, regular monitoring for exostosis in these patients is necessary to detect any tumor at an early stage.
