Pelvic Adhesiolysis is a procedure done to break up adhesions (scar tissue), in patients who suffer from chronic abdominal and pelvic pain, as a result of long standing adhesions. Adhesions commonly result from abdominal and pelvic surgical procedures and may result in intestinal obstruction, infertility, chronic pain, or complicate subsequent operations. The procedure can be done via laparoscopy or laparotomy.
