Hyperbaric medicine (also known as Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) involves using increased levels of oxygen to treat patients that might have carbon monoxide poisoning, decompression sickness, clostridial myonecrosis and myonecrosis, or any other condition that requires 100% oxygen. The patient receives the oxygen through a tube or through a hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber.
