Laryngoscopy is a procedure that allows doctors to examine the larynx (also known as the voicebox) of the patient. This examination might be done to search for the causes of problems ranging from throat injuries to voice problems. This examination might also be done indirectly, using a mirror or similar device to view the larynx and the back of the throat, or directly. In the direct procedure, known as direct laryngoscopy, the doctor will use a flexible or rigid scope to view the larynx and the back of the throat. If the scope is flexible, the patient is generally kept awake. If the scope is rigid, the patient is usually put under general anesthesia.

I had my knee replacement surgery at FMRI and Dr. Subhash Jangid was my surgeon. FMRI was my choice of hospital in India because I particularly wanted NAV 3 technology for knee replacement and Dr. Jangid is one of the most experienced doctors in this domain. The services at Fortis are excellent and up to the mark. It is very hygienic and neatly maintained. The nurses and medical staff were friendly and helpful.
