Leukemia is a blood disorder which is commonly referred to as blood cancer. It originates in the bone marrow, bone marrow is the place where the blood cells grow and develop. Some of the white blood cells when become malignant (cancerous) the condition is called Leukemia. Leukemia has two types, acute and chronic, the acute type spreads fast and requires immediate medical help when diagnosed. Whereas chronic Leukemia demands medical attention as well and spreads slowly as compared to the acute Leukemia. Modern technologies including radiation therapy, surgery, and bone marrow transplant have shown good results in curing this illness.
