Before the surgery

• The first step in Mommy makeover, like in most medical procedures, is a comprehensive evaluation by the surgeon. A surgeon guides the patient on what cosmetic options would work best for her and evaluate her eligibility for the same. 
• Once the patient and the surgeon are on the same page, the dates for the surgery are decided. Depending on the cosmetic procedures, the makeover can take place on one or different days. 
• The doctor will advise the patient to stop smoking and all forms of medication two weeks before the surgery. If a patient has any concerns regarding the medication, they should discuss it with the doctor without fail. 

During the surgery 

• Just like one size doesn’t fit all, a Mommy makeover can’t be the same for every patient. The cosmetic procedures can be customized according to the patient’s desire, needs, and health. A standard mommy makeover includes a breast lift, a tummy tuck, and liposuction. But, it can be combined with many other procedures including:

4. Vaginoplasty

• The standard mommy makeover surgery takes 3 to 4 hours and is performed preferably under general anesthesia.
• A patient may be required to stay in the hospital for 1-2 days depending on their present condition and rate of recovery. 

After the surgery

• Due to its multifaceted approach, Mommy makeover in Turkey can have a different recovery timeline for various patients. 
• A conventional mommy makeover can take approximately 7 to 10 days for initial recovery. However, the long-term results will only be visible after a few weeks or months. 
• The first week after the surgery is the most crucial time of recovery. A patient is expected to limit their movement for basic activities like eating, sleeping, or going to the washroom.  
• The surgical sites become more tender during the second week and the patient may experience more pain. Light exercise or a short walk can be made a part of the daily routine. 
• The patient continues to feel low on energy levels in the third week and therefore should take adequate rest. 
• By the fourth week, the swelling and tenderness decrease significantly. The patient can resume their daily activities but should avoid any strenuous work or exercise. 
• Additionally, a doctor may advise the use of support bras and compression garments to the patient. Pain medications may also be prescribed for pain relief.
