Dr. Khaldoon Abo Dakka

Dr. Khaldoon Abo Dakka is a specialist in thoracic surgery with over a decade's experience in the field of specialization. He has performed various kinds of surgeries in his more than 12 years of career, including traditional and Thoracoscopic (VATS) operations of the chest. He specializes in the treatment of lung cancer, infectious diseases of lung and pleura (empyema), and conditions such as lung volume reduction surgery (COPD), Pulmonary Metastasectomy, Pneumothorax, and recurrent metastatic pleural effusions. Besides theses, he is an also experienced in chest wall and diaphragm surgery such as tumors resection with Thoracoplasty, repair of chest wall deformities, and repair of diaphragm eventration and hernias.Dr. Dakka has worked at many renowned government and private hospitals in Damascus and Asswayeda Cities in Syria, including Al Assad University Hospital, Al Eienaya Private Hospital, and Al Mazraha Surgical Hospital. He is also an academician who has been appointed as a Lecturer in the clinical training program for the medical students in the Department of Thoracic Surgery at Al Assad University Hospital, Damascus University. He has published several papers in reputed journals.
