Dr. Shibal Bhartiya

Dr Shibal Bhartiya is an eye surgeon with a special interest in diagnosis, management, and treatment of glaucoma and other ocular surface diseases. She is a highly qualified and experienced professional in her field of specialization.

She had worked and trained at many prestigious medical institutions of the nation as well as abroad, including Senior Clinical Research Fellow in Gluaocma services at the Dept of Clinical Neurosciences, University of Geneva, and Senior Research Associate at Dr R P Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, AIIMS, New Delhi. She has also been the Clinical Director at Medflow, Eye Care Leaders (Eliglobal), Charlotte, North Carolina (USA), where she was responsible for training and development of AI platforms and CDSS interfaces in Ophthalmology. Presently, Dr. Shibal Bhartiya is working as Senior Consultant at one of India's leading private hospitals - Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon.

As a renowned eye surgeon, she is proficient in various kinds of surgical and non-surgical eye treatments, but her special interest lies in the glaucoma and ocular surface disease management.

Dr. Shibal Bhartiya is received many awards and honors for her outstanding work in the field of ophthalmology. She has been an avid academician and has presented at several national and international conferences (in the Glaucoma segment).

Dr. Bhartiya is the founder director of a language editing service called 'Medequill'. She serves as the Managing Editor as well as the Executive Editor of the Journal of Current Glaucoma Practice, an official journal of the International Society of Glaucoma Surgery, and the Editor in Chief of Clinical and Experimental Vision and Eye Research. She is also the Founding Secretary of the Shamms Ed Deen Alcon Glaucoma Fund, University of Geneva, Switzerland.
