Dr. Yogesh Batra

Dr. Yogesh Batra, an eminent healthcare professional from Noida is a Senior Consultant in Gastroenterology Department at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. Dr. Batra successfully brought about his MBBS and MD (Medicine) degrees from GSVM Medical College, Kanpur and then went on to achieve his super specialty degree of DM (Gastroenterology) from the renowned All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. His past work experience includes medical duties at Batra Hospital, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Holy Family Hospital and All India Institute of Medical Sciences, all located in New Delhi. He is adept in performing a host of GI procedures like upper and lowers GI endoscopies, diagnostic as well as therapeutic ERCP (both biliary and pancreatic), diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound guided procedures, percutaneous procedures like liver biopsy and MARS.

A research enthusiast, Dr. Batra's most significant research contribution as research officer has been an epidemiological study on the prevalence of HAV antibodies in school children and patients of chronic liver disease in the city of Delhi. As a guest speaker he has participated and delivered talks in numerous conferences organized by IMA, API, ASI held in different parts of the country besides holding a large number of publications to his credit. He has participated in many health based television interviews aired on various national and private television channels. He has not only been instrumental in setting up the Batra Gastrosciences center, Liver clinic and GI cancer facility at Batra Hospital but also responsible for initiating academic activities like DNB program at Batra Hospital and BLK hospital.
