About Gall Bladder Surgery

Cholecystectomy signifies surgical removal of an organ known as the gallbladder. It can be performed either traditionally or laparoscopically, and usually is performed under general anesthesia. In the laparoscopic approach, four small incisions are made, and the doctor uses cameras to guide the surgical removal of the gallbladder.
