About Intrauterine Device Removal

Intrauterine Device Removal is a common procedure done routinely by gynecologists. IUDs are removed after the desired period of contraception is over, or after the life of the IUD, such as every five years. The process itself is very simple. In IUD removal, the doctor will clamp the strings of the IUD firmly and slowly slide it out of the cervical opening.
