Metal Implant Removal is a procedure in which the doctor will remove metal implants (screws, pins, plates, etc.) that were from a previous surgery. The surgeon will make incisions to access the implant, remove the implant, and then close the incision. This procedure is generally done for patients that are reacting adversely to the metal implants.
