About Cervical Conization

Cervical conization or a cone biopsy is a procedure in which a cone shaped wedge of tissue is removed from the cervix. The procedure is performed for diagnosing the presence of cancerous cells in the cervix, or to remove some cells which have begun to show malignant changes and are pre-cancerous.
