About Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a disorder in which tissue that normally lines the uterus grows outside the uterus. It may attach to the ovaries, fallopian tubes, the exterior of the uterus, the bowel, or other internal parts. Surgical intervention is required when the endometriosis gets unmanageable by medical treatment, or when the anatomy of the uterus begins to distort as a result of the growth. Surgical treatment involves excising or burning away (using a high-energy heat source, such as a laser) endometriosis lesions. Read More about Endometriosis →
