About Inguinal Orchiectomy

Inguinal Orchiectomy is a surgical procedure usually used to treat testicular cancer. In this procedure, one or both of the testicles are surgically removed from the male patient. The doctor will make an incision in the lower abdomen in order to access the testicle(s), and then remove them. The spermatic cord is also often removed. In some cases, the doctor might replace the testicle with an artificial replacement.
