About Kyphoplasty

Kyphoplasty is a surgical procedure used to address a spinal fracture that causes the spine bone to cave in, putting pressure on the nerves in the spine. In this procedure, the doctor will insert a needle into the patient's back, move the needle to the location that requires surgery, and then use the needle to insert a ballon in the area. Then, the doctor will inflate the balloon to correct the caved-in spinal bone. Finally, the doctor will insert a hard material into the region so that the bone will not collapse again.
