Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP) is a procedure used to remove tissue from the cervix of the female patient using an electric loop. The doctor will insert a speculum into the patient's vagina in order to reach the cervix, and also provide an anesthetic. The doctor will then use the electrical loop to remove the tissue from the patient's cervix.
