Recurrent Corneal Erosion is a condition in which the outermost layer of the cornea (clear part of the eye) does not attach to the rest of the cornea, and thus causes exposure of other sensitive cells to the environment. Treatment for Recurrent Corneal Erosion can include PTK surgery, Anterior Stromal Puncture, a bandage soft contact lens to cover the cornea, or eye drops, depending on the severity of the condition and its rate of reoccurence.
