About Thoracoscopic Sympathectomy

Thoracoscopic Sympathectomy is a procedure used to treat the condition of excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis). In this surgical procedure, the patient is placed under general anesthesia. The doctor will then cut or or seal nerves that stimulate the excessive sweating. The procedure can be performed through open surgery or through laparoscopic (minimally-invasive) surgery.
