About Trans Urethral Electrovaporization of the Prostate (TUEVP)

Transurethral Electrovaporization (TUVP) is a procedure in which electrical current is used to remove excessive tissue from the prostate. This procedure is usually performed on male patients that have enlarged prostates. In this procedure, the doctor inserts a small electrode into the area in question, and electrical energy is used to vaporize the excess tissue.
