About Pleural Biopsy

Lung biopsy is a procedure in which the doctor takes a tissue sample from the lung in order to test it for certain conditions or diseases. In Pleural Biopsy, the doctor will insert a large needle into the chest region and take samples of the lung, tissue lining, or chest wall. In some cases, the biopsy might be performed through thoracoscopic biopsy or open biopsy.
