About Laproscopic Cholestectomy

Cholecystectomy signifies removal of an organ known as the gallbladder. It can be performed either traditionally or laparoscopically, and usually is performed under general anesthesia. In the laparoscopic approach, four small incisions are made, and the doctor uses cameras to guide the surgical removal of the gallbladder. Patients undergoing this procedure are usually those that suffer from gallstones, gallbladder inflammation, or pancreatic inflammation.
