Dr. Gurneet Singh Sawhney

Dr. Gurneet Singh Sawhney is an acclaimed neuro and spine surgeon with over 14 years of experience of clinical work, research and teaching. In his embellished career. Dr. Guneet has published various research studies, participated in conference, and held a faculty position at various hospitals. He has been widely credited for his role in imparting expert medical services, disease management, neurological treatments and research. Dr Sawhney is well-recognized for his excellent surgical results and skills in the field of Functional Neurosurgery. He obtained Fellowship in Functional Neurosurgery from Japan in 2019- 2020 and Fellowship in Epilepsy Neurosurgery from Japan in 2019- 2020. His expertise lies in the area of neurooncology including treatment of skull base and deep-seated tumors, neuroendoscopy procedures such as Endoscopic pituitary surgery, vascular neurosurgery and management of Neurotrauma and emergency neurosurgeries. He also has a vast experience of performing various aneurysm and AVM surgeries, along with simple and complex spine surgery including CVJ and minimally invasive spine surgery. Dr. Guneet has completed special hands-on training for MISS and a Fellowship in Neuroendoscopy from Jabalpur in 2017. He has also done a certificate course in “Pain and Palliative” at St. John’s Hospital in 2008.He participates in various seminars and workshops such as the Cadaveric Workshop for Minimally Invasive Spine – Interlaminar Endoscopic (Destendau) Procedures, in MIS Live Cad 2017 Bangalore. He has also been awarded the “Most Promising Neurosurgeon in Maharashtra – 2016” by Times Group for his exemplary work in rural India. He has many scientific publications such as “SDH in Bleeding Diathesis – A Management protocol” in Indian Journal of Surgery and “Vein Transposition Fistulae, The St. John’s Experience” in Indian Journal of Organ Transplantation (2008).
