After you visit Lyfboat.com and have decided on your procedure(s), here is a simplified breakdown to guide you through the medical travel process:

  1. Send inquiries to the providers of interest and provide information on medical condition and history.
  2. You should hear back from all providers within 48 hours of contacting them.
  3. Compare quotes and providers and decide on which provider you would like to proceed with.
  4. Accept the quote from the hospital you choose.
  5. Finalize your procedures and trip itinerary (including all required medical & travel documents).
  6. Depart for your chosen destination/hospital.
  7. Greeted by your international coordinator or facilitator at the airport.
  8. Meet your doctor for the initial consultation.
  9. Undergo your procedure.
  10. Recuperate and relax.
  11. Travel home.
  12. A Lyfboat representative will contact you to follow-up on your experience.

About Pricing

The price displayed on Lyfboat is the average cost for that procedure. Once you inquire with the hospital, you will get an estimated cost specific to your case based on your condition, medical history, and treatment needs.

When the care provider responds to your inquiry with a quote, they will include information on what the price covers. Typically the quote includes consultation, necessary tests, cost of the procedure and stay in the hospital. However, every hospital has its own pricing structure so you should get specifics from the hospital. If it is still unclear, you can always send the provider a message to ask for clarification.

Lyfboat does not take part in deciding the prices for any of the treatments. Prices are decided and uploaded by the service providers.

With your permission, we will only send your records to the providers of your choice. Your data will not be used for any other purpose and will be secure at all times.

We want you to be satisfied with the provider you select for your treatment. There are no limits on the number of hospitals you may get in touch with.

About planning the trip

Yes, there are no obligations on where to stay. This is entirely your choice.
Your international coordinator or health care facilitator will be with you every step of the way; from meeting you at the airport, to the moment you leave to fly back home. Their sole function is to provide you with any assistance that you may need. They will ensure that transportation is arranged to and from your accommodation to the hospital for all of your appointments.
Many providers have international translators who can assist you during the entire process. Please inquire with the hospital for your specific language needs.

It is your decision to undergo a procedure or not. You always have the right to change your plans. Please contact care@lyfboat.com for assistance if you find yourself in this situation. We will gladly help to find an alternative provider.

Yes, we use third party providers for the services like Local Tours & sightseeing, Spa & wellness, Guide facilities, etc and the payment is done directly to them.

About Payments

All payments should be made directly to the hospital. Please refer to the hospital’s profile page to check what payment methods they accept. If it is not on their profile page, please send them a note to ask.
You should carry enough with you to cover the costs of your medical treatment and accommodations and your other needs (food, entertainment, shopping)

As many countries have restrictions on carrying cash. We accept payment via Bank Transfer as advance payments and pay the hospitals on your behalf. The advantage of paying via Lyfboat is that we are able to process any refunds instantly either via Bank Transfer back to your account, or via cash while you are here and we can also pay for your other expenses such as flight booking/change fee, accommodation, taxi etc. The Hospitals take a longer time to process any refunds. In addition, in the event that you decide to seek treatment at another hospital, we are in a position to make the payments to any hospital whereas if you pay one hospital in advance they will only return funds to the account of the remitter and you have to initiate the transfer once again to the second hospital. This becomes difficult if you are already abroad, as well as paying transfer charges twice.
