Dr. Gaurav Goel is an experienced and highly specialized doctor who has been trained from prestigious Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital in Canada.
He specializes in the field of Neuro-Intervention and has expertise in vascular intervention for treatment of brain and spine disorders including embolization of the AVM (arterio-venous malformations), brain aneurysms, and stenting in intracranial and extracranial atherosclerotic disease as well as tumor embolization.
Dr. Goel has an extensive experience in use of the latest techniques, such as flow diverter stents for intracranial aneurysm.
His key area of interest lies in the treatment of acute stroke with the use of mechanical and chemical thrombolytic agents. He along with his neurology colleagues have set up the 'acute stroke protocols' and work together to reduce the time required for treatment of acute stroke.
