About Intrauterine Device Placement
An intrauterine device (IUD) is a small contraceptive device, often \'T\'-shaped, often containing either copper or hormones. A doctor inserts the IUD into the uterus. IUD are a form of long-acting reversible contraception. Intrauterine devices offer five or more years of contraception and can be removed any time when fertility is desired.
