Rapid arc is a technique that shortens the treatment time remarkably and uses computer generated images to plan and deliver the radiation dose (IGRT- Image guided radiation dose). The machine has the capability to rotate 360 degrees and thus deliver the highly focused beam of radiation onto the tumor. The technique helps in targeting the tumor from almost any angle and is less dangerous to the surrounding healthy tissue.
Dr. Meenu Walia is an established name in the field of Medical Oncology and Cancer Care. She specializes in treatments for Breast Cancer, Gynaecologic Oncology, and Thoracic Oncology. Currently serving as the Senior Director at the Department of Medical Oncology, Max hospital, Parparganj, Dr. Walia has worked and trained in some of the best hospitals across the country.
